Dyslexia Therapeutic Tutoring
At Reading Resolved, our trained Orton-Gillingham language interventionists provide intensive one-on-one remediation using the Orton-Gillingham approach, which is a hallmark of success for over 80 years.
The Orton-Gillingham approach was developed specifically for anyone with a language-based learning disability like dyslexia; however, it can be effective for any struggling or developing reader.
Students reach proficiency by building phonological awareness, spelling rules, morphology and comprehension strategies.
Structured Word Inquiry
At Reading Resolved, we use Structured Word Inquiry (SWI) based instructions to facilitate students to become word investigators.
Structured Word Inquiry (Bowers and Kirby) helps in understanding that spelling makes sense and is not full of exceptions. The sound knowledge of morphology(meaning), etymology(history) and phonology(sound), each playing a pivotal role in building understanding; students strengthen their ability of spelling constructions and become proficient readers, spellers and empowered advocates for their learning.

Writing Skills
Reading Resolved teaches the foundation of sentence writing and paragraph development. We teach students the use of graphic symbols and organizers for a sound understanding of the function of sentence parts for advancement in editing and creative writing.

The Orton-Gillingham cognitive approach for learning math enables students to develop more effective and practical ways of thinking and applying new skills.
Starting from simple basic concepts and then moving to more advanced concepts, students build an overall understanding of mathematical concepts to building competence.
